{ ☾ }—;  Dominic hadn’t seen Maggie in god knows how long and he had missed her beyond what he thought he could- he had business to handle, Troy was dead now- Just Clayton, Kayleigh, Maybe Scott and himself left of the pack, it was getting messy and everyone was getting killed by hunters. Stupid.Fucking.Hunters. Dominic held Emilia in his arms walking to Maggie’s apartment and rolling his lips taking a deep breath. Knocking on the door with his free hand, this could go either good or really really bad.

Maggie was bustling around her apartment. She’d finally gone on her own. After all, such a big house to just her seemed to be a little too much, especially since her parents and brothers were always on hunts. A life she was very much done with. An apartment was good, a nice change of pace.

It’s been weeks since she’d seen Dominic—she wasn’t even sure they were together anymore or not. No phone calls, no texts, it was like he completely disappeared from her life, leaving a hollow feeling in Maggie’s chest cavity.

The knock on her door startled her as she was reheating last night’s take out, food she’d gotten accustomed to eating. Cooking didn’t seem appealing anymore. Nothing was appealing to her. She kept herself busied with school and work, counting down the days to graduation.

When she’d opened the door, her heart practically stopped. “D-Dom” she stuttered out, eyes looking like a deer in the middle of high traffic. All her words left her, and she just stared at the blue eyed boy who left her without a word and his baby girl in his arms.

{ ☾ }—;   Dominic looked at Maggie, trying to contain his tears, she was okay. She was alive, the other hunters didn’t get to her- she was alive and breathing. He felt his chest rise and he looked back down at Emilia. His blue eyes trailed up to Maggie’s face, words couldn’t describe how he felt as of now, the joy that she was alive, that didn’t mean he wasn’t in for an earful, oh no. He deserved whatever she had in store for him.  Emilia pointed to Maggie and spoke, “Mwaggie” Dominic let out a small breath, “Yes Emilia..” He trailed off looking up at Maggie, “Maggie..’m so-so, beyond sorry..”

Hi there, thank you for following me.

Derek eyes the girl.  He subtly sniffs the air.  His nostrils flare.  “Do I know you?”

Kayleigh looked up to her uncle with a raised eyebrow, “Well, dad said I could you find you ‘round here, so here I am”

{ β }—;       Kayleigh had woken up her hair was a mess, not really caring about the way she looked wearing one of Scott’s sweaters and a pair of baggy sweatpants and she slipped on a pair of socks. She looked to the side of her to see Dominic’s Daughter Emilia wide awake and having a giggle fit, picking her up carefully she placed her into the bouncer.

Walking towards the kitchen to see a man- well, teen in her living room. He smelled like a Hale and.. A McCall? What in the world? “Do..Do I even want to know?” She asked, looking back to Emilia.

{ β }—;       Kayleigh couldn’t help but giggle at Scott intertwining her hand with his. “Dad and Dominic packed while I was gone, your all packed?” She raised an eyebrow at him. Giggling at his lips against her stomach, intertwining her hand with his, “Well, Cutie, I’ve been alright..” She mumbled, looking down at her stomach- four months- four long months had passed, “—You? How have you been holdin’ up?” She questioned turning her face towards him, “Troy needed my help, he was dying, I needed a cure— My mother had it, he didn’t know where and I couldn’t find it.. So I..Stayed with him until he..Passed” She swallowed thickly, “Four months, I’m four months along”

“He’s….he’s gone?” Scott’s bottom lip trembled and he pulled her in close, rubbing her back. “I’m so-so sorry Kayleigh…” He whispered, kissing her hair before resting his hand on her stomach, feeling another kick. “So-do we know what we’re having? Four months…..god you’re getting close…” He added, smiling. “Guess we need to move into the house soon, yea?”

{ β }—;       Kayleigh didn’t answer his question, but the pain? It was still there, Troy was a brother to her, her best friend, her pack. Kayleigh rested her head against his shoulder. She nodded, hearing his words and resting a hand on top of his. “I’m twenty weeks now.. So..” She began, thinking and adding numbers up in her head. “In about two weeks, we can find out if it’s a boy or a girl” She smiled, looking at Scott. “Dominic and Dad said they’ll help you fix up the place, paint it and the other things”

{ β }—;       Kayleigh wrapped her arms around her mate’s middle, burying her face into his chest, taking in his scent and her cheeks burning. She could never get tired of this- at all. Kayleigh looked at him nodding quickly, “I promise I won’t Scott I-I promise” She assured him a shaky voice, she didn’t know if she was going to cry but whether she did or didn’t-they were from happiness and that’s something she was certain of. Looking down at his hands her nose scrunching up when she felt the baby kicking, she felt her smile grow and she nodded, taking everything in. She was home, this was her home.

“You’re….you’re glowing. You look so beautiful carrying our child, I….let’s sit down” He said, dragging her over to where her couch was, noticing all the boxes. “Are you packing for our new house? Cause I’m all packed.” He said, looking up at her and seeing her stomach again and kissing it as they sat down. “So beautiful. How are you? Why did you leave? How long um…how far along are you now?” He asked, looking up at her.

{ β }—;       Kayleigh walked towards the living room, looking around at the packed boxes and the empty bedrooms, she’d miss the place when she leaves, it held a lot of memories- good and bad. Most good, “Y-Yeah I know I swear I have a good reason Scott, I’m staying for good I promise.” She muttered, it was true. She missed him but she HAD to leave, just for a few days that turned to long weeks. “Y-Yeah, We’ll talk when you get here babe.” She heard his car and took a deep breath, hanging up the phone and her brown hues locking with Scott’s figure and she walked toward him slowly pulling him into an embrace- she missed him way to fucking much.

Scott caught sight of her and he almost collapsed, wrapping his arms tightly around her figure and kissing her cheek, then lips, then neck. God he missed everything about her. He buried his nose in her hair, taking in her scent that he had missed before. “God, don’t leave me ever again.” He mumbled, pulling back so he could take her all in. “You-you’ve grown. Our…our baby is growing…” He said, resting his hands on her stomach and feeling a small kick. “Oh-oh my god I…it….I love you.” He said, looking back up at Kayleigh.

{ β }—;      Kayleigh took a deep breath- another one, Scott was okay, he was worried it was obvious but he was okay. She didn’t speak for a few seconds letting him finish his little rant before she spoke, “S-Scott.. You’re okay- Oh my god your ok—” She stopped herself from finishing that sentence and took a deep breath, something she did a lot now lately. “Yeah, Yeah, Come over that sounds.. Yes, please come over. ‘m fine, are you- are you alright? The baby- it’s okay, just.. Come over please?”

image

Scott sighed with relief when she said she was okay, nodding his head and running to slip on his shoes, grabbing his car keys and running out the front door, phone in hand. “Yes, on my way. I’m fine, I just…..you need to stop leaving, it hurts my wolf and I can’t find where you are and-just, stay with me.” He mumbled, getting in his car and backing out of the driveway and driving as fast as he could to her house, still on the phone with her. “I want an explanation when I get there. Why you left again, all that. And we need to talk, about the future and stuff.” He said, pulling into her drive. “Hanging up, I’m here.” He said, turning off the car and running to her front door, unlocking it with the key she had given him. “Kayleigh?”
